Hallie Grace is Nine Months Old!

Hey, guys! I am so behind on blog posts lately. Joe works every other weekend, so I'm usually able to catch up on things then. But last weekend, I went to a birth conference one day, grocery shopped the next, and had La Leche League last Monday night. Finally, here is Hallie's 9 month update (as she turned 9 months on the 3rd!)

You can tell from the pictures that Miss Hallie has been a busy baby girl. She loves to stand on everything. Recently, she'll let go of something for a second and then when she realizes it, she sort of freak out and grabs back on. I think I forgot how interesting it can be having a mobile baby. Loading the dishwasher has been quite interesting. I've got to be fast at it, that's for sure!

Her sleeping schedule has been a bit sporadic recently. Over the last few weeks, she's finally started sleeping from about 9 p.m. to 2 or 3 a.m. Hallelujah! Some nights, she is just still up every 2-3 hours. I'm guessing she's just having teething episodes on those nights. I'm just grateful that I'm getting more sleep than I was there for a while!

Current Statistics:
27.5" long and 18.5 lbs
Breastfed, with daily supplemental solids
(1/2 jar of baby food, finger foods as she desires at lunch or dinner)

Some fun things going on:
Fully recognize when I sign "nurse". She'll start mouthing my shirt to nurse. It's hilarious.

She loves to make sure she is hears. She enjoys yelling, "BAAAAAH" to get her point across.

Hallie's favorite way to go to sleep is to STILL be cuddled by daddy.

She waves bye-bye with both hands, instead of just one.

That's probably about it for now! Her first birthday is right around the corner!

  2. Awe what a cutie! Sounds like she's doing great! I can sympathize with you on the lack of sleep. My son never slept well until he was over a year and weaned. At least it will get better eventually, right?! =D

  3. This is such a cute post. I wish I would have thought of this. It is such a nice way to document what goes on in your child's life by the month. She is adorable by the way.
