In Hallie's world...
She slept through a lot of her first Christmas. Actually, every time we laid her down on Christmas Eve, she woke up screaming. We were up until 2 a.m. wrapping presents because it was such a task with a mobile baby.
Everything on the floor is fair game to be played with. If the boys have their train tracks out, she wants to come join them. She wants to be involved in everything that the big kids are doing. Luckily, they are very patient with her for the most part.
Mommy is not allowed to play on her phone around the baby. It must go in her mouth. Sometimes, I like to play on my phone while she is nursing. I've used it for my time to get on Facebook or check e-mail from my phone, but she will unlatch and scream until I hand it to her.
Anything on Mommy's plate, is also Hallie's food. 'Nough said.
Those two front teeth just WON'T pop through yet. We do use a Baltic Amber teething necklace, but there still has been a couple of times where we've decided to give her Ibuprofen for teething. Also, if you've had a baby, you know how wonderful teething poop is...
Standing by herself is fun, but taking steps is a little scary. Hallie has been able to stand up without pulling up on anything. She seems like she really wants to get her little feet moving, is a little unsure about it quite yet.
She enjoys attacking her siblings which means crawling to them and hitting them in the face. (Pretty hysterical if you ask me.) If you follow me on Instagram, you'll see that I recently posted a picture of this.
She's still in cloth diapers full time and still nursing (we do child lead weaning). We've been doing very well in that area aside from a short nursing strike recently.
Hallie loves sorting things into piles and playing with blocks. She can also say a few words, "mama", "da", "Matt Matt", and "block". She's been pretty advanced in that area so far.
There you have it! A quick update on Miss Hallie. Hard to believe her next update will be her 12 month one!
