Pregnancy Update: Week 10 (Baby #5)

So, in case you missed it, I announced that we are expecting our fifth (and final!) child around June 2015. I may have to come back and update the weeks accordingly because I am expecting my due date to change. I wanted to try to do biweekly pregnancy updates to document this pregnancy. I'm also planning on blogging about different topics like my favorite natural pregnancy/birth books, home birth, and more. I'm open to requests!

How Far Along? 10 weeks, 3 days

Weight Gain? I've only lost so far due to severe morning sickness.

Maternity Clothes? Not a "must" yet, but I got out my maternity jeans just because they are SO much more comfortable.

Sleep? Still good for the most part, except for I am sick ALL NIGHT LONG. I just started Zofran on Friday, because I couldn't take it any more. Almost a month straight of severe morning sickness really got to me.

Symptoms? Some mild cramping. Severe morning sickness/possible hyperemesis. Can we talk about that for a minute? I've had HG before, but the difference with this pregnancy is that I can barely get through a grocery trip without wanting to get sick. I can't handle the smells in the store!

Food Cravings? Anything salty and spicy...which is weird for me.

Best Moment This Week? When my midwife prescribed the Zofran. Haha!

Looking Forward To? My first prenatal appointment is Dec. 3rd.

  1. I didn't even tell people I was pregnant until I hit the 12 week mark because I was very superstitious. I never had morning sickness with either of my pregnancies, so I am sorry you're suffering.

    1. We waited a little while to tell people this time around. But with the holidays coming up and me being so sick, I'm not able to hide it very well. People kept asking why I have been feeling so cruddy. Lol.

  2. My daughter just gave birth to twins and they were born at 28 1/2 weeks. It is scary dealing with all that goes into it. I hope your pregnancy gets easier and the morning sickness wears off soon!

  3. I had severe morning sickness with my youngest, I am sure you know it gets better. I had to carry convenience bags everywhere. Luckily I worked with paramedics that kept me stocked with those little bags.

  17. I have a rare genetic disorder called 22q and I had morning sickness all day long every single day only to find out that after I had my daughter she too has 22q and I have another rare disorder called gasteroparies means my stomach is broken so it was a given that I was throwing up all day every day. I only later found out they make stuff and a med that was safe that I could have taken. oh I wish I would have had some ideas to record it all down like you are doing and congratulations by the way.

  23. I don't wants to tell any one. Because my giddiness and the vomiting troubles shows every one that I am pregnant. It starts from my fourth week of pregnancy itself. I had severe morning sickness during my both pregnancies. I cant even go to kitchen at that time and I would hate the smells. Only after 16th week it all gets better!!
