Holiday Gift Guide: Mama Needs a Do-Over by Lisa Pennington
Recently, I had the chance to read and review the book "Mama Needs a Do-Over" by Lisa Pennington. While I love to read, I don't have a lot of time for it, so I am picky about what I decide to read. This book really spoke to me, because I am in moving into a differing phase of motherhood.
At one point, I was in the crazy trench years of toddlerhood when we had three children four and under. If you're a mom of many, or even a mom of older kids, you know what I mean when I say there's a difference in phases that kids go through. Now with five kids spanning from ages 8 to 5 months, things are really difference! We've got a broad range of interests, abilities, and skills. For me, it has become a balancing act between keeping up with the activities and homeschooling my big kids. Then I still have two little ones who rely on their mama in a different way.
"Mama Needs a Do-Over" really offers practical advice for mothers on how to turn around a bad day. Lisa is a homeschooling mom of nine, who has really been there and done that. Her book really shows moms how to rely on God's strength and choose happiness in those days where you're hiding in the bathroom crying.
If you have a mom in your life that needs encouragement this holiday season, I highly encourage you to check our this book. It's just that perfect gift for the supermom on your gift giving list!
