Bumkins Eco-Friendly Nixi Diaper Bag & Nursing Pads Review

I love the Bumkins line of products and have used several over the years. We've owned some of the reusable snack bags and diapers in the past. Recently we had the chance to try out the Arcata Diaper Bag from the Bumkins Nixi Line. I'm relatively picky on diaper bags because I like to be organized on the go and this one certainly made the cut for many reasons.

About the Nixi Line by Bumkins:
The Nixi Line offers several eco-friendly, stylish products for the modern mom and baby. Several of these products are made from recycled fabric and include bags, jewelry, reusable feminine products, and more. See the complete line here.

Arcata Diaper Bag:
I've been trying out the Arcata Diaper Bag for about a month now. My crunchy brain appreciates that this waterproof diaper bag is made from recycled plastic bottles. Now if you ask my husband, he will tell you how annoyed I get with trying to fit my stuff in along with baby and/or toddler items. This diaper bag boasts six exterior pockets, so I have plenty of room to toss in my keys, phone, and items for older children if needed.

When I first unzipped the diaper bag, I noticed there were a ton of pockets on the inside too. In interior pockets, I store typical items like wipes, rash creams, or first aid items. There's also room leftover to keep a small snack, a card game, and our iPad Mini for when we're on the go. The middle section is deep, so there's plenty of room of items whether you use cloth diapers or disposables. I've taken along both along with spare outfits.

I do hope to see more prints come out in the future for this diaper bag. Right now it's available in a dark blue and black print, which is pretty cute. You can purchase this diaper bag for about $49.95 at the Bumkins website or on Amazon.com.

Reusable Nursing Pads:

For $12.95 you can purchase Nixi Reusable Nursing Pads from Bumkins. Disposable pads haven't always cut it for me in the past since they don't stay in place. These pads are soft and have a waterproof PUL outer layer to keep your clothing dry! There is an inner micro-terry layer that holds a lot of moisture, especially if you have are a big leaker like me. Joys of nursing, right? As a bonus, there's a cute polyester zippered bag to store these in for on the go.

  1. I've used my share of diaper bags, having had two boys. I always found that I was the happiest when the bag was super roomy.
