Mom life is not easy. There's so much pressure to have our kids involved in every activity under the sun, achieve well academically, and spend quality time with them. Then there's doctors appointments, errands, and that never-ending to do list. And then it's dinner time. What?! You mean we actually have to feed them every night?! Sigh...
Moms, we all want to feed our kids the most nutritious food and keep it quick at the same time. I have four kids in activities and a young toddler. I am ripping my hair out some weeks trying to make quick dinners and still make sure my growing kids are eating healthy foods. I needed a Dinner Hero...and I found one!
Revolution Foods was founded 10 years ago who wanted to provide kids with healthy meals across America. They now serve 2 million freshly made school meals a week to one thousand schools all over the nation. Now, Revolution Foods Breakfast Hero and Dinner Hero kits are available on store shelves! Keep an eye out for it at your local grocer to bring this yumminess home.
We received four of the Dinner Hero kits to review. My kids' favorite was the fiesta taco kit since we looove tacos! It was a fun twist on tacos and was very tasty! The dinner kits contain 40g of whole grains and can be made in about 30 minutes. What I did switch up was making the dinner with olive oil rather than vegetable oil, since that's what I prefer to cook with. I'm planning on keeping these meal kits on hand in the pantry for nights everybody has ball practice!
The two things I wish I could change would be bigger meal kit sizes so there's options for different size families. I also didn't find many gluten free options, so that's something I'll keep my eye out for in the future. I have Celiac Disease and have two kids with suspected gluten sensitivity. I would love to see more options for us in the future.
