10 Random Things About Me

My blog has grown a lot in the last year and a half. So I figured, why not let you all get to know me a little beyond a natural parenting blogger.
1. I was named after Farrah Fawcett. Shocker, right?
2. I’m left-handed. It’s interesting at times!
3. I’m only 5’0″. Yes, really.
4. I have a bright blue vein in my right arm that is the only way blood is easily taken from me.
5. By nature, I am a night owl.
6. I frequently dressed as a witch or a baby for Halloween as a child.
7. Dirty Dancing is my favorite movie.
8. I’m obsessed with Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, and Shonda’s new show How To Get Away With Murder. Oh, and my husband and I love Resurrection!
9. I’m a huge bookworm. Sadly, I don’t find as much time to read as I used to with four kids.
10. I’m obsessed with organizing. And re-organizing. Again. And again.

Hi, I just read a comment of yours on an essential oil blog where you said that you switched from Young Living Oils to Plant Therapy. I am starting on the oil journey, was all ready to purchase the started kit from young living, then found out about plant therapy. So confused now, could you help? Why did you switch? Was it worth it? Thanks so much,
    Di x

Hi, I read a comment that you made on another blog about making the switch from Young Living to Plant Therapy. I am starting the oil journey, and have done a bit of research and reading around, and have just saved enough for the Young Living started kit. Then I read some stuff on Plant Therapy and was confused. Which is best? I was interested to read your comment about the switch, and wondered if you would tell me why you switched, and if it was a good one? Thanks, Di xx

Hi Di! I think really it's up to each person. I feel like some of these MLM companies push miracles for these essential oils. I absolutely believe in natural medicine, but there's a time and a place for traditional medicine. I had a bad experience with a rep in 2009 when I was first starting to use essential oils. I immediately strayed away from YL.

For a long time, I bought Wyndmere brand because it was what was available to me locally. I'll purchase that brand or Plant Therapy. Plant Therapy is a company I consider ethical, because when they screwed up last year, they fixed it and didn't hid what the issue was. They then put standards into place to ensure the screw up wouldn't happen again.

Their oil are also available for a lot less than some of the MLM companies. It makes me affordable for me to keep my family healthy.

I hope that answers your questions. All I can say is research it for yourself and make the best decision for yourself and your family. Let me know if you need anything! farrahafm at gmail dot com

Hey! I love reading about the personal stuff bloggers don't normally share. We have a lot of stuff in common. I was named after Lara Parker (she played Angelique in Dark Shadows). I'm only 2 inches taller than you! And my husband is only an inch or two taller than me. I am also a night owl. I feel so tired throughout the day and then when night hits I get all of this energy. And I don't get to read as much as I'd like too either. Oh and my whole blog is dedicated to organizing so I'm constantly organizing my house! πŸ™‚
