Thirty weeks, people! There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Honestly, I can’t complain too much because this pregnancy is just flying by. It really feels like we just announced it. I’m going to see my midwife every two weeks already and I think that helps make the time go much quicker.
I’m actually behind on some my pregnancy updates. I had a week where I wasn’t feeling the greatest, but since then I’ve been feeling well and trying to catch things up around my home and on the blog. I’m amazed at how much energy I have for being in the third trimester. I think the warm weather really has something to do with that.
A few weeks ago, it was time to check for gestational diabetes. Rather than doing the nasty chemical laden glucola drink, my midwife checked my blood sugar in her office. I then screened my blood sugar four scheduled times a day at home. Everything looked good there, so I passed!
The one drawback this pregnancy is that my blood pressure is being such a pain. It generally runs fine at home and will go up at my prenatal appointments. So now I am taking my blood pressure three times a day and e-mailing the results to my midwife. It’s been running very normal at home still, so I am very relieved!
We’re also starting to get the house ready for baby. We’ve bought her any clothes that she needed. We purchased a swing (on clearance!). I also purchased a second pack ‘n’ play with the bassinet and changing table attachments so I can have one for upstairs and one for downstairs. This weekend, I hope to finish cleaning out our bedroom and rearrange the furniture so everything will fit.
Also, we decided to change the baby’s first name. It’s still a secret. 😉 For now, that’s about everything that’s been going on. My next prenatal appointment is on April 25th, so I’ll have an update sometime during the last week of the month.
