This pregnancy has been a long, tough road for my family and I. While I am trying to enjoy the last weeks of it, I am relieved that it all will be coming to an end before too long. Between the many weeks of hyperemesis, chronic fatigue, high blood pressure, and now your typical pregnancy pains, I am ready to be done.
I believe I’ve had two prenatal appointments since I last did a pregnancy update. I’ve been meaning to posting sooner, but it got so close to my next appointment that I figured I might as well wait. One was for a blood pressure check that didn’t go so well. My midwife added Hawthorn to my supplement regime and decided it’d be best to check me for pre-eclampsia. Thankfully, all of my labwork came back just fine!
My blood pressure has now been averaging about 130/70s, which is so great. It’s lower than it was before I got pregnant. I think the Hawthorn really has something to do with it. Since my blood pressure has been doing so well, my midwife scheduled my next prenatal visit to be at home. At that time, I’ll be just a few days shy of 36 weeks.
We’ve now started prepping our lists and getting ready for baby. We’ve got a lot to do. So far, we’ve finished up rearranging our room and now I just need to put the winter clutter away. Keep us in your prayers! I’m praying hard that everything continues to go well.
