Baby #4: Week 27

I posted it on my Facebook page, but never actually revealed on my blog that baby #4 is a girl! How lucky are we to have evened it out with two boy and two girls. Boy, girl, boy, girl order. What I also like is that Guggy and Sissy are 2 years 3 months apart and Mr. A and Baby 4 will be nearly 2 1/2 years apart. They each have some one to grow up with. I will have to think of a blog name soon for Baby 4 since her name starts with an A as Mr. A’s does.

A little over a week ago, upon discussing my ultrasound results, my midwife decided it’s best to change the due date to January 27th. Both baby and placenta measured about three weeks behind (22w3d instead of 25 weeks on September 27th). Such a big jump from January 9th, but since we’re planning a home birth, it’s best to be the safe side so I have plenty of time to go into labor on my own.

My pregnancy has been going pretty well and that I am grateful for. My biggest complaint is suffering from symphysis pubis dysfunction. I suffer from a lot of pain in my abdomen and pubic region from my hip constantly being misaligned. Some days are better than others and I am under the care of a chiropractor. Usually I just have to pace myself as I’m doing activities with the kids. On my worst days, chores go undone or my poor husband has to pick up my slack.

All in all, I am grateful things are going well and soon we will be reaching the home stretch!

First of all congratulations on your second girl. I agree it is nice having kids grouped together in a way that they always have someone to grow up with. Thoughts and well wished to you and your family for the rest of your pregnancy and in life there after.
