Homeschooling is a blessed calling put on the hearts of many parents. As we travel down this road together, what’s supposed to be a blessing can feel cumbersome at times. Whether it be from feeling like things are just too mundane or a discipline issue coming up with our children; it’s easy to be overwhelmed by our blessings! This is an issue that I am currently struggling with in my own life.
It’s been an interesting start to the year in our household. I felt inspired by others to choose a word or words to focus on for this year, and I felt the words consistency, grace, and peace were important to focus on. Of course, it hasn’t taken long for the issues of life to rear its ugly head quickly. Things are breaking quickly than we have the time or resources to fix. The kids have cabin fever making it hard to focus on schoolwork. I’m still mourning the recent death of a loved one. All of the stress quickly makes it hard for a mom to want to carry on.
