Counting down to baby 4! {32 weeks}

We are now in the homestretch of this pregnancy! And oh boy, some days I can’t wait for it to be over. My belly has taken over my life. Most days I’m plagued with major back or hip pain. But with three children and a husband who likes to be on the go, the weeks are flying by.

Last week, we had a home visit at 31 weeks with my midwife. Everything checked out really well and I was measuring at 32 weeks. I’ve been measuring about a week ahead for our last several appointments. Hey, if baby wants to come a week early, I’ll take it. Also, to confirm my suspicions, I have a UTI. Which, if you’ve ever had one and been pregnant, you’ll know is all sorts of fun.

This weekend, my mom and best friend are throwing me a baby shower. I’m not feeling especially social these days, but getting out of the house should hopefully get my spirits up. I spend most of my days doing my usual stuff around the house and resting as needed. Even doing laundry is a hard chore these days.

Overall, other than back pain, my biggest complaint this week is the pregnancy insomina. I am exhausted by 8 .m. and having been going to bed around 9 or 10 p.m. By midnight or 1 a.m., I am wide awake. Hence the 4 a.m. blog post! I’m praying within the next hour I’ll feel tired again and want to go lie down until the kids get up around 7 a.m.

Oh, we also decided on a different name for this baby. And we’re keeping it a secret from most people. I actually won’t use my children’s birth names on this blog anyhow. But for any of you who know us personally, you’ll have to wait to find out the baby’s name! 😉

Things are still going great this pregnancy and here’s hoping that baby will come a little early as I suspect she will!
