In our household, we try to re-purpose and reuse things whenever possible. It not only saves money, but keeps things from going into the landfill. A couple of months ago when I was at my friend’s house, I noticed she had used part of her son’s crib to make a baby gate. I asked her about it, because it’s a genius idea to keep little ones out of unsafe areas! We decided to do it at home since it looked like a pretty simple project, plus it gave our 4 year old’s old crib a purpose! This is a great way to re-use those cribs that are no longer deemed safe for a baby to sleep in.
- An eyehook (to latch the gate)
- Screws (2″ or longer)
- A drill
- Saw (maybe, if you need to adjust the size of the crib)
- Some one handy (in this case, that’s my husband!)
