About the book:
“Doll Crafts” by Laurie Carlson is a 144 page guide to making simple dolls, clothing, accessories, and houses. Purchase on Amazon for $10.95. Learn more about Laurie Carlson on her blog.

I’ve said it in my holiday gift guide, but we are trying really hard to stay away from techy/electronic gifts this year. I really want my kids to learn to entertain themselves when they are bored. Learning a new craft or skill is a great way to do that and less kids are learning to make arts and crafts these days. In our family, we aren’t going to let that happen.

I’m really excited for my 8-year-old daughter to start learning from this book. She’s demonstrated a talent and love for arts and crafts, so I think this will be something new for her to learn. This book focuses on supplies that are easy for kids to obtain like recycled/upcycled materials, felt, paints, etc. There is additional information on the sides of some pages about various cultures, doll facts, and more!
