Farmer George’s Busy Morning Review & Giveaway

Farmer George’s Busy Morning is one of the books we’ve had the chance to enjoy lately. Written by Clare and Kurt Bickers, this storybook follows Farmer George and his two dogs, Evie and Lilly. My kids laughed at these two little dogs guarding the gate of the deck pen and later in the story, hopping in Farmer George’s truck to drive out to the paddocks to check the water troughs. They exclaimed, “dogs don’t ride in cars!” Oh, but they sometimes do.

Farmer George’s Busy Morning is based on the real story of the Bicker’s family farm in Irwin Valley, Western Australia. Living in the rural Midwestern United States, our family is pretty familiar with American farming. It was intriguing for Matthew, our oldest to point out some similarities and differences on the farms. Alpacas aren’t such a common animal to find around these parts, but there is a llama farm down the road from us!

Another point to note is that there is a tree planted for every book purchased from Farm Time Stories. This book is available to purchase via the website, (Kindle / Hardcover), or Australian retail locations. You can also follow Farm Time Stories on Facebook and Twitter.

I’m excited to be able to give away one copy of Farmer George’s Busy Morning to one lucky winner in the United States. By participating in this giveaway, you agree that you have read the giveaway terms and conditions.

I think it is very important for us to know that the world is different relative to how we do things in the USA. Perspective is a great teacher and character builder.

I think my son would like this book because he loves reading about animals and is interested in having his own food growing business. He is special needs but has a vision for his future! =)
