Purple Trail Custom Planner Review

I received a free planner in order to facilitate this review. This post contains Purple Trail affiliate links, which give you no extra charge. I receive a small commission which goes into helping run this blog.

Planners are life. Am I right, ladies? I am not an organized person by nature, so having everything written down in a planner is essential for me. I seem to buy a few planners a year, because they never seem to meet my specific needs.

Purple Trail offers several types of planners including weekly, daily, teacher, student, wedding, and more! I chose the mom planner, because I wanted to use this planner to track different things for our entire household. Since I am going to be using this planner several times a week, I wanted to be sure it had every element I needed for my planning needs. Customizing a Purple Trail planner is a very easy process.

Getting Started

Starting off, I was able to select from their wide variety of planner types. I chose a Mom Planner in their largest size, which is 8.5 x 11″. There are different covers available with inspirational quotes, designs, Bible verses, and more! If you’re a Justin Timberlake fan like I am, you’ll understand why I chose a pineapple cover! Also, I chose the largest planner I could get because we are a seven person family…so there’s lots going on around here!

You can pick any one of their cover designs or upload one yourself. The front and back covers are customizable, as well as the fonts. I found it a little hard to align the fonts correctly, so I just went with one of their pre-designed covers which was fine by me!

From there, I started selecting how I wanted my planner pages to look. You can choose 12 month or 18 month planners. I chose the 12 month planner. I appreciate that I was able to pick out a month and week at a glance options. I was easily able to write in multiple events for multiple kids. I was able to customize labels too, which was awesome! You can see I chose “homeschool”, “kids”, “mom school”, “bills”, and “to do”. My daily to do list is more or less things like laundry, errands I need to run, etc. The mom school label reminds me of assignments I have due for my online classes.

Also, I should mention that you can design your planner via their website or their design app! Pretty nice if you’d like to design your planner from your iPhone.

The Extras!

What I also love are the additional add on pages available for an additional $3.50. They sell a variety of markers and planner. I added on a fitness tracker, bill tracker, stickers + pocket folder. I am using the folder in my planner to keep my kids’ practice schedules or any other important paperwork on hand. This is nice to do in case I write something down wrong.

You can also decide if when you’d like to start your planner. Buying it in the middle of the year? No problem! Start your planner in June!

Final Thoughts

I’m really happy with my planner so far. Since I got a hardcover, coil bound, 8.5 x 11″ planner, it is really heavy! However, there are smaller options available. I like the hardcover coil bound option so I know it’s going to hold up to heavy use. In the future, I’d love to review a softcover option to see how that holds up as well.

All in all, I am really excited to use this planner through out 2019. Purple Trail also offers Custom Invitations, Cards, Stationery & Personalized Gifts.
