Stress Free Kids by Lori Lite {Book Review}

{Disclaimer: I received a review copy of this book in order to facilitate this review. All opinions and experiences are my own.}

Today’s families are busier than ever. While we’ve stepped away from the traditional gender roles in society over the last sixty years, children are raised in dual income households. It’s also becoming more common to be raised in single parent households. I’m the product of a broken home myself.

Because of these changes, children have more stress and pressure in their lives than ever. Parents and caregivers need to gain the skills to help guide children through life. In the book, Stress Free Kids, Lori Lite offers parents advice and tips on how to help kids relax.
One of my favorite sections of the book features how to enjoy St. Patrick’s Day as a family. Since this holiday is coming up, I wanted to feature it in my review. One of the tips offered in Lite’s book is to: “Go Green: Brighten your day with green at your breakfast table. Use a green tablecloth. Put a green plant on the table: crocus, daffodil, or even a succulent will brighten the mood. Fun green plates or green candles can get your family in the mood for spring.”
Beyond relaxing and enjoy even small holidays together, there are tips on positive talk, letting children be imaginative, and much more! My favorite part of this book is that it goes beyond your typical relax and meditate sort of self-help book. There’s a variety of tips and experiences and fun ideas that make this book worth purchasing. Take it from a typically frazzled homeschooling mom of four!

    My son asked me if he was Irish. He said some kids at school told him he wasn't because he couldn't prove it by dancing like a leprechaun! lol. So, now I have to teach him a leprechaun dance.

    I like that it goes above and beyond the typical approach too. And being a mom of four too, I know the word frazzled sometimes. 😉
